With the recent National Retailer Security Breach it is important to take the necessary steps to protect yourself from fraud. Target has confirmed that it experienced unauthorized access to its systems resulting in the compromise of credit and debit card information. Target has also announced that additional customer information was taken during the breach, which may include customer names, mailing addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. As soon as we learned of this data breach, we requested data from out debit card provider and we contacted everyone whose information we were told may have been compromised. However, it is important to review your monthly and/or online statements carefully and call us immediately if you see any suspicious activity.
