At First American Bank, NA, we value our customer relationships and believe that your trust is the cornerstone of that relationship.  We are committed to protecting your privacy while at the same time providing you with quality products and services.  The following privacy statement explains how we use and protect your personal information. 

Information That We May Collect
We collect “non-public” information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications for products and/or services
  • Information about your transactions with us or others
  • Information from third parties, such as a consumer reporting agency

“Non-public information” is information about you that we obtain when providing you with a product or service.  This information may include identifying information such as your Name, Address and Social Security Number.  We may also obtain transaction information, credit performance history, income and asset information about you.  Non-public information does not include information that is available from public directories such as telephone directories or government records.

Information That We May Disclose
Outside or Joint Marketing:
Federal law allows us to disclose information to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we may have joint marketing agreements. We do not share your information with these companies. 

Affiliates:
We are permitted under law to share information about our experiences or transactions with you or your account (such as your account balance or your payment history) with our family of companies (affiliates) related to us by common control or ownership.  Currently, we do not have any affiliates.

Non-Affiliated Third parties:
We do not disclose any non-public personal information about our customers or former customers to non-affiliated third parties, except as permitted by law to facilitate commerce.

Former Customers:
If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to privacy policies and practices described in this notice.

How We Maintain Your Information
We have established procedures to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts.  We also continually strive to respond in a timely manner to your request to change or correct information.

How We Control Employee Access To Your Information
We hold our employees to the highest standards of conduct in an effort to ensure confidentiality of your information.  We limit employee access to your information to only those bank employees with a business reason for knowing such information.  First American Bank also educates its employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy.

How We Safeguard Your Information
We maintain physical electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with Federal standards to protect your non-public information from anticipated threats and hazards, and unauthorized access.

How We Maintain Your Privacy in Business Relationships with Third Parties
When we conduct business with third parties where disclosing your information may be necessary, we require such parties to maintain similar standards of conduct regarding your privacy.
